Morning Canoe trips M/Y Tucano

Here are some of our favorite photos from the early morning motor launches. When something was spotted they cut the motor off and paddled not to scare the wildlife and for us to experience the peace and quite with only the sound of birds.

 Our first morning trip
 the reflections were stunning

it's hard to tell where the real and the reflection start and end

The next morning we chose to go out in the kayaks.

Our 6th day explored the other side of the Rio Negro and offered some different scenery.

many different things use the holes for nesting

Parrots high overhead

On our 7th morning we explored the Lago Janauari Ecological Park where the brown water of the Amazon flows swiftly though the forest. We noticed more and different wildlife in this section, as well as more mosquitos...that don't breed on the Rio Negro, but do on the Amazon.

another beautiful sunrise

there was quite a bit of debris of logs and such
we were supposed to go through this area, but had to turn around and go out on the Amazon to return

The next post will be the late morning excursions. Mostly forest walks, a visit to another village and the visit to the Lago Janauari Ecological Park on the last day.
