I haven't spent much time on our daily walks/hikes, but between trips we walk on the beach and hike in the dry
forest here in Coronado. The forest has greened up now that the wet season has
begun. The burned areas from the fire are starting to sprout. One area that has
always been thick with vegetation now looks like a swamp. Dragonflies and frog
eggs are there now as well. We are wondering when a caiman will make an
appearance. LOL

We saw a coyote the other day and it was so tall that we
initially thought it was a deer. It ran as soon as we saw it so we didn’t get
any pictures of this one. We also saw an anteater climbing a tree and it’s been
way over a year since we have seen any in the dry forest.
Both of the Whooping Motmot nests have young ones. We can
hear them cooing in there. The nest just looks like a hole in the bank and if you
didn’t know what they were, you’d just walk right past them. Here are some photos after the young have left the nest and are learning to be on their own. They don't get the "racket" tails until later.

We have been busy getting used to our new computers and
getting everything transferred from the old ones. We also tested our snorkel
gear in the pool and the new Go Pro. They seem fine, but we’ll see after our
first ocean snorkel. (they worked well on Contadora Island)

In June we had a group lunch at Cholo's Mexican Restaurant and in July or group tried a newly opened restaurant named Shawarma & Burgers (or something like that). We enjoyed our Middle Eastern choices.We leave in a couple days for 3 nights on San Blas Islands to celebrate Greg's birthday! Snorkeling, hiking and probably we will see some birds.
