December 14 - Our
adventure begins!
Roadrunner was about 10 minutes or so late picking us up as
the driver was new and didn’t know where Coronado Bay Condos were. He was told
to turn at the defunct Tryp hotel when he should have been told to turn just
after the Tryp. So, we were getting slightly nervous, but all was well and he
was a pleasant gentleman from Canada and we had a nice chat during the drive.
We
arrived at Panama’s Tocumen Airport and had a Cinnabon to tide us over until
they served us lunch on the plane as our flight departed at noon and arrived in
Buenos Aries at 9:18p. The flight was just over 7 hours. The airport had some pretty Christmas decorations.
Sr. Fabian was waiting
for us holding a sign with our name at the Buenos Aires Ezeiza International Airport, which is always a relief when you book
something in advance. He drove us to the Urban Suites Hotel in the Recoleta
area. It’s a small Boutique hotel with large rooms and the bed was comfy and
the shower had plenty of water pressure and hot water! The famous cemetery is
right across the street and we got good views from upstairs, since our room didn’t
have a view of it.
