Sea Day - Jan 18

Hard to believe that 15 days of our journey has already been completed. We had breakfast with Joe & Perla and they are just a wonderful couple. It’s their 8th World Cruise and they also have done a lot of birding so very enjoyable to exchange stories with them.

I won another $70.00 at Bingo today!!
We opted for the Pub Lunch today.
Tonight, is another formal night as many people are disembarking in LA.
final dinner with 4 of our table mates
George & Patsy, Becky & Ron, Fran & Bill, Annette & Greg
 Escargot
 Lobster & Tiger Prawns
 Chocolate & Pistachio Chocolate Journey

The entertainment tonight was another production show called Motor City. Though we have seen many of these shows before, it’s always nice to see the different talent performing them.
Well, we got more disturbing news today from the Captain. Due to storms forming in areas we were headed to, we are going to travel more quickly to get to Los Angeles. We will arrive on Friday the 20th as we were scheduled (just earlier) but we can’t leave until Sunday the 22 at 4:00 AM. Three of our ports have been canceled. Honolulu, Pago Pago, American Samoa and Tonga. Our schedule is now:
Friday Jan 20 Los Angeles 6:15am

Saturday Jan 21 Los Angeles – overnight

Sunday Jan 22 Los Angeles 4:00am

Monday Jan 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29 Sea Days

Tuesday Jan 30 Bora Bora, French Polynesia

Wednesday Jan 31 Papeete, French Polynesia

After this we should be back on schedule to arrive in Bay of Islands New Zealand on Feb 7. We visited Papeete in 2013, but have not been to Bora Bora. Hoping to arrange a motu for Bora Bora or if there isn’t time for one of those, then a snorkel trip will be in order.
