We had an uneventful drive to Savannah with no rain today!!!
We are staying at Red Gate Farms. It was purchased and turned into a farm in
1931. They began a dairy farm and had corn, grain crops and pasture land for
their Jersey cows. They turned it into this RV Campground and the Mackey House
hosts events such as weddings and other parties. It has been a very busy RV
park with RVs coming and going. It has some hiking trails and a few animals
left on the farm. It’s well kept up and has had everything from tents,
trailers, 5th wheels, motor coaches of all sizes and even some
custom buses.
