May 7, 2013 Sea Day

Of course the sea day flew by! The usual breakfast, catch up on the blog and go to a couple of lectures. There was one this morning with Tippi Hedren. You may remember her in Alfred Hitchcock’s film The Birds. She has a couple more lectures this segment as well.

 

We went to the Pub Lunch again, figured it could be the last one. Then in the afternoon went to the lecture on Istanbul, Turkey. Then, did a quick load of laundry and got out some warmer clothes since we are headed into cooler spring weather for the duration of the cruise. Tomorrow marks the “only 1 week left” of this world cruise.

It is formal night and we skipped the Captains Circle party and went straight to dinner. We were behind a huge line of people and were almost last into the dining room. Then we went to see the last production show of the cruise called Motor City. It is one of their stock shows and we have seen it before, but of course all different singers and dancers and having to make it work with the small stage. I like Motown music so I always enjoy it.

Tomorrow we have half a sea day before arriving in Istanbul around noon, where we overnight and leave the next day at 6:00p.

Phew! I'm caught up now with the blog since it is the morning as we are sailing into Istanbul. Talk to you again in a couple of days!
