Sea Day – April 17

The World Cruise group photo was to be taken at 10:30. So, we went down about 10 minutes early as most people did. All the crew, staff and officers go as well. It takes a while to get everyone so the camera guy who stands on the top deck to make sure he can see everyone. It was cold and windy out. He took numerous shots, but he was finished by 10:28. A few people showed up at 10:30 or later and complained they were not included. So, guess what? We get to go again tomorrow to have the group photo retaken! Oddly, the 2 clocks around the pool do not match. One is 2 minutes earlier (or later) and the other. So, depending on the clock you looked at they were done either 2 or 4 minutes early.

Anyway, tomorrow’s invite says the photo is being taken at 11:00 and please show up 10 minutes earlier to get set up. (which is what most of us did today, since it said the photo was to be taken at 10:30 we showed up around 10:20.) Guess, they learned their lesson that no matter how clear the invite seemed, it wasn’t to a few people. It’s a lot of work to gather all the crew, staff and officers and the Captain as well.

We went to Bingo after that and I got a Bingo on the first game again and Allison yelled Bingo about 10 seconds after I did. So, we split the $30 prize. Too funny! Allison also won another one by herself, so she had a good day!

We had lunch in the dining room and everyone was talking about having to retake the group photo.

Tonight, at dinner we had a new couple join the table. They actually got on in Venice and it’s the first time they have eaten in the dining room.

The entertainment tonight was Evan Bosworth and he did a tribute to Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons. Sammi, the Cruise Director once again reversed the show times. ARGH!!! I love the music of Frankie Valli and this guy was OK, but his falsetto was pretty off.

We get to set our clocks back another hour again tonight. Eventually, we’ll get back on EST!
