The weather has been calmer today, but tomorrow now
looks like it might be bumpy due to the storm.
We didn’t win at Bingo today, but Allison won again!
Go Allison!
We had lunch upstairs in the buffet as they were
featuring German food.
The show tonight was a different show by the sax
player, Tommy Proulx. He really is very talented and even did a number on the
flute. He played a Stevie Wonder song and announced it as a song by “the late
great, Stevie Wonder”. I turned to Greg and said “Stevie Wonder is dead?” Best
I can tell from my limited internet usage on the ship, it was a Facebook hoax.
Yikes! I guess the sax player believed it…..
With so many sea days there really isn’t much to write
about. Since we don’t socialize or do any of the games, lectures etc. I thought
I’d give you an idea of the things that are offered.
There are a few things on TV. They play movies old and
new and various travel shows. There is a Love Boat channel. Many of the
channels are Princess trying to sell you stuff.
There are various things throughout the day that are
fitness oriented such as spin class, yoga, Line Dance mania, Zumba, morning
stretch and early evening stretch and relax and lots of demonstrations for the
spa and the jewelry store.
Wine Tastings and Martini demonstrations.
There is a gym and a spa and a beauty shop for hair
and nails.
The dance instructors teach beginning and advanced
ballroom dancing.
There is an afternoon movie in the main show lounge
that is shown in your stateroom the next day.
There are Bridge lessons and Bridge Play a few times a
day.
There is Bible Study every day and church services on
Sunday.
There is Ping Pong, Shuffleboard, Pickleball and Wii bowling.
There are ctivities with the Staff such as remote
controlled cars, Bean Bag Toss, Goofy Golf, boat building competitions, and
more.
There are arts and crafts.
There are enrichment lectures and port lectures.
There is trivia 2 to 3 times a day, plus Game shows or
other in the evening.
There are usually 2 different musical groups that play
in the Casino Lounge and the Pacific Lounge, plus a piano player that plays in
the Casino Lounge.
There are get togethers for people with like interests
that vary every day.
There is a passenger choir directed by David the piano
player in the Casino Lounge.
There are various musical instrument lessons for
beginners such as guitar, ukulele and other instruments.
There are un-hosted activities such as Kintters &
Knatters, Cards, Boardgames & Mahjong, Friends of Dr. Bob & Bill W
Meetings, singles get-togethers, LGBT get-togethers and more.
There is the Casino and Bingo.
There are jigsaw puzzles, Sudoku, a library and games
if you didn’t bring your own.
There is also a computer room if you didn’t bring your
own.
There are always various “sales” in the atrium area
for the shoppers.
Of course, there is the walking track and the pool and
hot tubs.
So, you can be as busy as you want to be or do not
much at all. I load my Kindle with books and read when I’m not working on the
blog or photos. Plus, eating meals takes up a fair amount of time….lol
Just as on land, you still have things to do like
getting your hair cut and or colored, doing your nails, washing out hand
laundry and sending out regular laundry. (or for those that don’t have free
laundry they need to find time to use the busy and small laundry)
It’s a small ship and doesn’t offer a lot of the
“bells and whistles” of the larger ships, but there still is more than plenty
to keep you busy if you so choose.
Just 2 more Sea Days until Bermuda. (the weather is
looking good for there now) Just 5 more days left on this voyage as we get off
the morning of the 6th day.
