September 12
With only a very small percent chance of rain between 6 and 8 in the morning, we had plenty of rain almost all the way to our next stay. The car towed just fine and the front of the car is no longer loose.
This is a very nice park with a wonderful view of the Mississippi River and the many barges going by. It is the first park in a long time that has had a concrete slab to park on and a view. It's a fairly large park with an area set up especially for 5th wheels that back into the spot so they have a view of the river from their rear picture windows. The motorhomes are in another area with nice pull-throughs and we have a view of the river on one side and a pond on the other. Great sunrise and sunset views as well. Memphis, Tennessee is just on the other side of the river.
There are hiking trails that we haven't explored yet.
It's only 20 miles from Graceland which we are visiting tomorrow. There are plenty of things to see in Memphis. To top it off, I filed for social security and my application got flagged and I have to go to a local office to prove I'm me. Explaining that we full time RV they said I could go to any office, so we need to squeeze in a visit to the local SS office in Memphis in the next couple of days.
We went for a walk about the area and sat and watched the barges go by.
