April 18, 2013 Sea Day

Another day in Paradise! Greg is starting to feel better, but still not 100%. My cold or whatever it was is doing much better.

Laid in the sun for a while after breakfast and then a shower before Bingo (neither of us won), the Pub lunch, the port lecture on Doha, Qatar and the Professional pickpocket was giving a talk on how tourists can guard against pickpockets etc. Then, back to the room to catch up on some tour emails and relax a bit.
Got things together for touring for the next 3 days. 2 days in Dubai and 1 day in Doha.
Princess issued the guidelines for dress and behavior in the Middle East. We were prepared for this, but I’m amazed at the people that have to wear sleeveless tops and shorts everywhere.
“No revealing clothing, especially for women. (covering knees and shoulders and even more)
For behavior no public displays of affection such as hugging and kissing.
Do not photograph any females wearing traditional dress without obtaining permission.
Affection displayed by people of the same gender is not accepted.
Moving about ashore under the influence of alcohol is an offense. It could lead to immediate problems with authorities.
Possession of drugs or porn is an offense and is punishable by law.”
Dinner was good and the show was a singer with a sense of humor. Darren Williams from Australia very entertaining and he did have a nice voice.
We get an extra hour of sleep tonight since we set the clocks back again. Whoo Hoo!
Or I guess we could use the extra hour to take down everything off the walls and all flat surfaces so they can do a super clean tomorrow in hopes of getting this Noro off the ship. New passengers come on tomorrow so I think they want it cleaned before they arrive. Pain in the butt to take it all down and try to find a place to put everything. Ah well, it is what it is!
