April 9, 2013 Sea Day

Well, I finally got the blog updated with the 4 ports in a row. Phew!

It was nice to sleep in a bit. Had breakfast and got some sun up on deck 11 and showered for lunch in the dining room. Then it was time for the port lecture on Mangalore and Mumbai our next ports. Right after that they showed the move LINCOLN and we stayed for that. We had to rush to get changed for dinner and we stopped up at the cocktail hour with Marianne, Ken & Tom, and 2 ladies whose names escape me at the moment.
The show tonight was a Banjo player named Jim Coston. He was very good!
There was a Farewell to the Orient party tonight where everyone was to wear their Asian clothes they bought to the party. We skipped it. On the way out of the dining room we saw a couple dressed in their pointy straw hats, face masks (like the surgical masks) and native dress. We all cracked up laughing because it really was how many were dressed in Vietnam etc. Lots of Chinese silk and Indian gauzy cotton was worn as well.
Well, today turned out to be too busy to get caught up on much of anything, but we have 3 more sea days!
