Small Towne RV Campground - Terry, Montana

July 25

We had to drive past TRNP through the Badlands on the way out of North Dakota.

we saw quite a few oil wells

Here we are in Big Sky Country! It's our first visit to Montana. It's a shame we can't visit Glacier National Park on this trip, but it's on the Northwest side of Montana and would add about 3 weeks to our trip that we don't have. So, when we return to visit Idaho & Oregon we'll have to spend a week there as well.

Terry RV Park may be amongst the most basic Parks where we have stayed, but it had very long pull-throughs and was easy to get level. Plus, the owner was just the nicest guy. He greets everyone with a welcome mat & trash can to use while you are there. He also gives you a notebook full of brochures and helpful information. He says take what you want and leave the rest. In the morning he puts a newspaper on your steps. He’s helpful in setting up as well. He used to live in Chandler, AZ (close to where we used to live in Mesa). Can’t explain why, but he reminded me of my son Scott. (cuz, he too is just the nicest guy, laidback, outgoing and friendly)

The first night we were the only ones in the small park not sure how many spots, maybe 10 give or take. The second and 3rd nights he had 3 or 4 of us. The cutest thing was this small bunny. He was so friendly. Greg said he watched him hook up the water, sewer & power and stayed right there while he washed the windows of the car. Next morning when we left for the day he sat right there and watched us load the car. When we came home he was laying underneath the coach. So cute.

The town of Terry is also really small and for our evening walk we walked the town from the RV Park that was down at one far end of town.

Tomorrow, we are headed to a couple of parks for some hiking and birding.
