We had
a fairly rocky night and it continued all day. I didn’t walk the track due to
the wind and motion. I didn’t want to risk injury right before leaving to go on
safari.
So, I
took the morning to pull out my suitcases and get out my overland bag and
rearrange the suitcases and putting things away from my drawers that I won’t
need for the duration of the cruise.
I won
the first fame of Bingo for $30 and Greg and 4 other people called Bingo on the
$40 game. The Casino was generous and rounded up to $10 for each winner.
We
rushed through lunch since I had a hair appointment this afternoon for trim and
color.
All 6
of us came to dinner tonight in the dining room. Generally, the one couple eats
most meals upstairs. They leave us in Cape Town.
The
show tonight was Felipe Castro the sax player with a new show. Most people
seemed to enjoy his show. He is good, but I prefer songs that I know and love
that have words, to have someone singing the words. Instrumentals have a way of
squelching all the life and soul right out of the song. That said he is very
talented and an upbeat performer.
One
more sea day to finish getting ready for our overland safari. Remember when I
said Harriet and I both got calls saying we should meet in the Cabaret Lounge
with their overland tours? Tonight, we all got letter saying to meet in the
Casino Lounge. So, hopefully, they can get their stories straight so we know
where to show up.
We
also were scheduled to take the group photo of all the full world cruisers
tomorrow, but got a memo that due to the inclement weather it will be
rescheduled after Namibia.
Looks like you are having a good time. This is my favorite part of the world. The Indian Ocean is so pretty. Sorry it has been a little rough and rainy. Reading your tours reminds me of our cruise in 2016. We did not have you to set up our tours, but did have a group of Aussies that we attached our selves to on Cruise Critic. Have a great safari.
