February 9, 2013 Sea Day

Today has been the day of flying fish. Since we both got a bit too much sun yesterday we choose to take in some lectures today. One was on Easter Island (our next port) and the other was the Discovering and Peopling of the Pacific Islands. We opted for lunch out on deck today of pizza and dessert. Had the best chocolate profiteroles we had ever tasted. (chocolate cream puffs with chocolate glaze) Rick & Janie joined us and we exchanged travel experiences.

While walking on deck this morning there was a Nazca Booby (aka masked) that was drafting with the ship the whole time.
We are in the middle of “nowhere”. The South Pacific Ocean has been a gorgeous deep blue. Plus, not to jinx us, but the seas have been like glass. Only 1 small boat seen today… way out on the horizon.
I’m getting caught up on photos. I will post on my Web Albums as I get a few done.
The show tonight was Tony Pace “the man with a voice…who just happens to be funny” Very entertaining show.
