On Wednesday October 18th we headed out to Brunswick, GA. It
was cool this morning, but warmer than the last couple of days. No rain today
though!
office of the RV park
recreation center
they rent paddle boats (not sure about the regular boat)
fire pits
they have 1 swimming pool
our spot - we didn't break the pavement
It's a fairly small park next to a lake. The spaces are narrow, but the spaces are far apart. There are a few amenities, but we generally don't take advantage of them anyway.
We arrived at Coastal GA RV Resort and got set up and then headed out to get
Greg a new iPhone since his old one was dying a quick death. Should have been a
quick stop, but one guy was with a customer with a huge issue and the other
sales person was having a personal conversation and didn’t care that someone
needed assistance. It went on and on (a good half an hour) when the guy finally
stops what he is doing to ask what we want. I think it was to let his co-worker
know she should stop socializing and help us. She did begrudgingly sell us an
iPhone and kept talking about how she still had an hour left to work. Then grocery
shopping went about as smoothly. Got in line behind a lady that had only a
couple of items. It was the cashier’s first day and they have a new loyalty
rewards card she was trying to set up for the customer. Finally, someone came
out and helped her. I think we wasted an hour there. (and they didn’t have many
of the items we went for). Ah well, some days are like that. OK, my rant is
over.
Brunswick is nestled on the Georgia coast, midway between Savannah, GA, and Jacksonville, FL. Off the mainland lies four beautiful barrier islands: St. Simons Island, Sea Island, Little St. Simons Island and Jekyll Island. When we visited Cumberland Island from St. Mary's, GA, we could see Jekyll Island in the distance.
Looks like lots of nice rigs. Sorry about the cellphone wait.
