On Tuesday Oct 3rd we visited the museum Nauticus and toured
the Battleship Wisconsin.
Nauticus is a maritime-themed museum and science center aka
National Maritime Center. There were two 3-D movies. One was Secret Ocean by Jean Claude Cousteau and and the other one was Aircraft Carrier. There were several rooms with
films that were on loops. Tons of displays and the second floor was a Navy
Museum. There were many interactive areas including touching sharks and other scheduled activities most of which we passed on. (with the timing of 3-D movies etc., it's impossible to do it all.

We had a nice lunch in the café there before going out to tour the Wisconsin. In LA when the Pacific Princess got stranded there an
extra day on the World Cruise due to bad weather we visited the Battleship
Iowa. It was cold, windy and rainy so we enjoyed our visit to the Wisconsin
today much better. They also had way more areas open to the public to just walk
around. The Wisconsin is an Iowa-class Battleship. (one of the largest Battleships ever built) They truly are like a small city on board. (much like a cruise ship)

After touring the Wisconsin we went to the second floor to visit the Navy Museum. It was an extensive museum of the Navy's history over the years.

We spent most of the
day there and stopped at the same Gelato shop on the drive home.
Tomorrow, we head out to Fayetteville, NC.
Steve would have enjoyed the maritime museum. Gelato sounds good to me.
