Sea Day - Jan 16

Well, our day was quite cool. With the already warm not hot, hot tubs I had goosebumps in there. Finally, I gave up and came in for a hot shower to try and work the kinks out of this sore leg. Yes, it still continues to be a pain. Not sure if I will be able to snorkel with the Whale Sharks tomorrow. The water will be cold (in the 60’s), which I knew but I didn’t plan on a leg injury from taking a simple tourist horse excursion.

We opted to eat at the Sterling Steakhouse instead of the dining room today and it was very good. We had scallops and lobster cakes for appetizers, salads and Ribeye’s for dinner. For dessert Greg got the Smore’s cake and I got the Chocolate Journey which was chocolate and peanutbutter. YUM!

Tonight’s entertainment was a production show called What the World Needs Now.
We got an extra hour of sleep tonight as we set our clocks back another hour. That took a bit of the sting out of the 7:00 AM arrival.
We also got official word that Yap Micronesia has indeed been canceled and replaced with Guam. (of course, people not on the ship found out about it several days ago) We were so looking forward to the culture on Yap and the world class snorkeling, with probably the best shot at snorkeling with the giant Manta Rays. We’ve visited Guam before so for those of us who have been there before it’s not a great substitution. Many of us rented cars last time and self-toured driving almost all the way around the island and stopping at the various sites. Hopefully, we can find a snorkel trip for there as we ran out of time to do that last time.
