Saturday March 10
We were greeted promptly by our guide and driver in Lima to take us from the airport back to our ship. We were getting on board about 10:00 in the morning. As usual the ship never knows how to handle us when we return from an over-land (that they pre-approve) and our cruise cards didn't work. We got them reactivated and turned in our passports to the desk. We got showered and grabbed lunch upstairs before going out to shop at the little market set up next to the ship. I called Dad and then it was time for dinner and the show.
The show was Wayne Hoffman a Mentalist. We have seen him before and exact same show (different audience members of course brought on stage) with the exact same results. Same name of the same dead pet and the same book numbers in the same book. He is interesting to watch.
***Jaime went ABOVE "above and beyond" to make up for the bad tour in Elqui Valley. We realize that sometimes your staff lets you down or just about anything can go wrong and how he handled it was proof that he cares about customer service. (unlike GV tours that wouldn't acknowledge they did anything wrong...despite no guide being there to do our tour and saying that the lunch and dancers had not been part of the program for 2 years and saying it wasn't still on their website and it was and confirming the tour days before we boarded the tour.)
Anyway, it was a satisfying over-land trip and Jaime found a way to make it work seamlessly.
Thank goodness we have a day to rest!
