Sea Day

Tuesday March 6

Neither of us even came close in Bingo today. We grabbed a quick lunch upstairs and then made it about 5 minutes late for our hair cut appointments. We both were over due in getting it done. They did a nice job on both of us.

Trying to get the blog caught up and posted before we leave the ship for a couple of nights.....

We hope the new Captain (Captain Rikard Lorentzen) starts to arrive and leave at the correct times, but so far he has arrived late and had all aboard earlier than scheduled, but leaves late with no announcements to let us know what is going on. Captain "Bye Bye" (Michele Tuvo) was great at keeping us informed and making the times in port.

The ship continues to provide conflicting information on port times. Just published differently in the various places they provide the information. The Patter, announcements from the various staff and the TV channel that shows the times. Of course the front desk looks at you like you have 3 heads if you ask them which is correct.

We went down today to get our passports since we will need them in Pisco and were told we couldn't get them until the morning of arrival after local immigration does what they need to do with them and then we can get them. The port time was changed from 7:00 AM to 5:00 AM, but of course the officials won't board until 7:00 according to the clueless desk people.

Tomorrow we will need to pack for 2 nights off the ship and Lake Titicaca is at high elevation and will be cold. That should be the last of the cold weather on this trip.

Tonight's entertainment was an instrumentalist Fabio Zini and then we went to another lounge and watched Jesse & Colleen do an all new show. They did mostly Beatles tunes, but also did some of the artists that inspired the Beatles. They really put on a fun show.

One more sea day and then we leave the ship in Pisco and rejoin in Lima on the second day we are there.
