June 21
We woke to pouring rain which isn’t a good sound when you
need to prepare to leave the site. (much of the prep is done outside) However,
by the time it was time to start, the rain stopped. Our route today was through
a lot of small towns, so it was slow going. Then we hit lots of road construction
and then it started to pour rain. Great combination!
most of the views have been of farms (in the last several states)
wildflowers along the road
John Deere is alive and well.....
lots of corn & lots of beans and occasionally some grains like oats & wheat
lots of non-descript towns along the way
Luckily, the rain only lasted about a half an hour and by
the time we got to Kamper Kompanion RV Park it was sunny.

our spot
it's another small park, but nice
We quickly got set up and the site made it easy to level
with no leveling pads. It’s another small site, but no road noise or anything
here.
We took off to go visit the Litchfield Museum & Route 66
Welcome Center. Very nice little museum and tribute to Route 66. Then, we
grabbed some groceries and came back to the coach.
After dinner we went for a
walk along highway 55.
