June 3
Well, we have finally gone far enough North to find “the
South”. Things move slower and people get so much more polite.
On today’s drive my side window was flapping in the breeze.
I hoped it would hang on better than the tree frog did…. We have it taped until
we can get a proper fix.
There were a lot of beautiful wildflowers along the way.
Mostly yellow, but there were some purple and white sprinkled in as well.
We arrived at Live Oak Resort which is pretty basic, but
nice. There are a lot of people that live here full time, but they do have a
few spots for the “big rigs”. Just the basics here, but it serves the purpose for
a short stopover.

It’s pretty small so for our evening walks we ventured across
the street to the cemetery to get some more steps in. Very pretty setting under
the canopy of the big Oak Trees.
fresh fruit anyone?
anyone else see the irony of this section of the cemetery?
