Lynnville Park Campground - Lynnville, Indiana

June 18

We had an uneventful drive from Tennessee, through Kentucky into Lynnville, Indiana. A lot of road construction that caused some detours, but no biggie. The Flying J went well today as well.

We passed through Hopkinsville where Greg was born on the way.

We crossed over the new bridge over the Ohio River. I didn’t get the border sign due to construction partially blocking it.

We arrived at Lynnville Park Campground which is a city park with a lake and some hiking trails. It was a tight fit for the coach and it took angling it in to miss the tree and the 5th wheels on either side of us. It also wasn’t easy getting it level. We had 2 wheels up off the ground and Greg put down a double stack of leveling pads on that side and backed up over them. That worked well and we are way more level than at the last site.

We got settled in and later went for a hike around the grounds. The lake is not a swimming lake (and not sure I’d want to eat any fish caught in it) as there are some stagnant areas. It’s a pretty spot and we are only here for 2 days and 3 nights. Not much here really, just a short stop to break up the drive across Indiana to get to Illinois to get to the Wisconsin Dells.

Tomorrow, we are off to hike around in the Hoosier National Forest.
