We slept in and after lunch we visited the Buffalo Bill Center of the West. It is actually 5 museums all in one huge building. It has Smithsonian Affiliations.

We started with the Draper Natural History Museum which highlights the Yellowstone region.
Next, we saw the Buffalo Bill Museum. It was quite interesting since I think most of us think of him as a showman representing the West, but he was a cowboy first and was quite a business man. He had many ventures including developing the town of Cody. I think he would be proud of how his town is now such a tourist destination.
We stopped to take a break in their café and had a tasty brownie with our sodas.
They had a presentation on birds so we went outside for that. Their birds are all injured and can't be returned to the wild. It was in the Sculpture Garden and Raptor Experience.

We then toured the Cody Firearms Museum. What a huge collection from all manufacturers including some very little known manufacturers. This one really was large and took a long time to get through.
Our last museum of the day was the Whitney Western Art Museum. We got through almost all of it before they announced the museum would close in 15 minutes.
I didn't take a lot of photos as museums are famous for having good lighting for viewing the items, but bad lighting for photos.
Good thing their tickets are good for 2 days since the place is huge and we couldn’t get through it all in one afternoon. We were expecting each museum to be small, but they were each huge. Plus, each had photo and or sculpture rooms. We’ll go back tomorrow to finish it.
We were in the mood for a steak so we headed for Cassie's.
We enjoyed a decent Bone-in Ribeye & sides. Then, back home to relax.

Tomorrow, we have our last day in Cody and will check out a couple of the local areas for birds and then return to finish the museum.
