Indian Campground RV Park - Buffalo, Wyoming

August 9

On the drive out of Cody we saw a few Pronghorn and later a Mule Deer. Later on in the drive Greg saw a Pronghorn running very fast and it easily jumped a fence and kept on going.

It was a very scenic route through the mountains. Buffalo sits at the base of the Big Horn Mountains & Bighorn National Forest. I took a few shots from the coach bug spattered windows. The journey took us over Powder River Pass - elevation 9666.

 town of Ten Sleep

The Big Horn Mountains extend from the plains and Great Basin area of Wyoming northward into south central Montana. The Cloud Peak Skyway (US 16), connecting the town of Tensleep and the city of Buffalo, crosses the southern Bighorn National Forest and offers breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks along its 45 mile length.

We arrived at Indian Campground RV Park and got settled in. We went for a short walk, this park is a bit larger, but still not huge. Lots of trees so no satellite for our time here. We are here for 5 nights and 4 days.

they also have a couple of cabins for rent

**Interesting story from the last RV park. Greg said one guy put out his slides and one crashed right into the power outlet box. Power box was fine, but his slide was dented. We are pretty anal about one pushes the button and watches inside and the other is outside making sure they don’t hit a tree or anything. Normally, you scope out your sight before you have jacks down and see if It’s in a good spot for leveling and missing trees etc.

Tomorrow, we are driving US 16 again as far as the lake for the views.
