Sea Day – January 11
Beautiful day at sea today. We had breakfast outside and we
saw our first flying fish of the trip. There were a lot of Brown Boobies flying
and diving into the water. Then, we saw a small pod of dolphins. Our
table-mates saw whales today as well.
I walked the track for an hour and then we came back and
showered before Bingo. The lecturer ran way over time again. The assistant
cruise director even made an announcement that bingo was starting. The crowd
laughed and then the lecturer talked for another 10 minutes. Totally oblivious
that he’s well past his time limit. So, once again Bingo starts 15 to 30
minutes late which is right at lunch time. The buffet upstairs stays open until
2:00, but the dining room closes at 1:30. I hope they can make this guy
understand that he has a time slot and he can’t just talk as long as he wants
to.
Greg won $40 in Bingo. I still have not won a game. His
total is now $345.00.
We went upstairs to the buffet for lunch since we were short
on time to eat before the dining room closed.
Dinner at the new table is much better since we can all hear
each other. We all felt bad that we lost our waiter even though we were only one table away. Our new waiter is nice, but we felt bad since it wasn’t our
original waiter’s fault that we wanted to move.
The entertainer tonight was a Nashville singer named Ric
Steel. We have seen him a few times and he is very entertaining.
Early to bed as we arrive at 7:00 tomorrow at Puerto Quepos and it’s a tender
port so we will need to be ready early to get our tender tickets.
