Sea
Day – January 21
Last
night it felt like we could have been tossed out of bed. It’s a bit bumpy out
and will stay that way until late tonight. Tomorrow should be calmer, but just
as cold.
We
walked the halls since the walking deck was closed due to the high winds. Quite
a challenge to walk with all the movement.
We
are seeing lots of familiar faces about the ship. Last night we ran into Dwain
who was one of our table-mates on the 2013 world cruise.
At
11:00 there was a Cruise Critic Meet and Greet and the Captain came again, but
none of the other officers as they did for our Lauderdale Meet & Greet. We
met most of the new people that are on some of my tours (and Bob’s). A few of
us had many emails back and forth and it was really nice to put faces with
names. Allison is only on one tour, but we exchanged a lot of emails. Part of
the fun of travel is in the planning which I happen to enjoy a lot and I never
mind answering questions if I know the answers. I also don’t mind sharing port
or tour information. Allison surprised Greg & I with gifts for “all the
help”.
After
meeting a few other people, we went to lunch in the dining room. We sat with
people we have meet on previous cruises. It took a while to figure out which
cruise we had met each other on. Except for one lady who has been on all of
them. She’s one of the “most traveled passengers”.
Tonight’s
entertainer was Craig Richard an instrumentalist. Think Kenny G type music. Kinda put me to sleep, but he was good. He also had a rock climbing accident and was featured on a TV show, which later this week they will show it in the lounge.
Then
we went to the evening trivia which was Films & TV. We didn’t do as well on
this one. We were third.
Tomorrow, another day at sea!
We cracked up when we read you ran into Dwaine from Rosemead, CA. I'm guessing he is not at your table again ordering every entre this time?? Is he wearing t-shirts to formal nights? Also I wonder what type of accommodations he has this time around? Last time he had that suite to himself. That was sweet of Allison. Who is the most traveled passenger this time around? I'm impressed Greg found a bird he hadn't seen before. As always enjoying your posts.
ReplyDeleteTell Dwain hello. Is he on the whole world cruise? By himself?
ReplyDeleteHope the ocean gets smoother.
