Our
2nd of 5 sea days before Honolulu. It’s a bit calmer today, but
still too cool for me to walk the track, though there are plenty of people
doing it. I chose the warmer option of walking indoors again. No regular Bingo
today again as there is a new dance troupe that needs to practice. They held
another nitro Bingo in the Casino Lounge where it’s just one strip of 3 cards
to play 1 coverall and the winner gets $250.00. Greg won it on the first
segment and he was down to 1 on 2 cards this time. My Bingo luck continues to
suck. We’ll see what tomorrow brings when they start the regular Bingo
sessions.
We
opted for lunch upstairs again as it was Asian again. We sat with a couple that
we have met on the last 2 world cruises and they did an excursion in Jordan
with us.
After
lunch we went upstairs to use faster internet (only today it was pretty slow).
I did get the blog caught up and a small set of photos up for LA.
Greg got a few shots of a new sea bird today

Tonight
is another formal night welcoming the new people that just boarded in LA.
The
entertainment tonight was James Fox who did a Billy Joel Tribute. It was “OK”
and entertaining. Won’t be one of my favorites, but it certainly won’t be my
least favorite either.
After
the show we went upstairs to the 60’s music trivia. Wow, they had some pretty
obscure songs. We didn’t do too badly considering, but we didn’t win. (probably
3rd or 4th again with lots more teams playing.) We always
just play with the 2 of us and most teams are 6. Tobi rushes the trivia more
than Jonny who plays the songs several times before moving on so it gives you
time to think. Tobi played them once and moved on quickly. 60’s songs have long
titles and it takes time to write them down. No worries, it’s all in fun and
that’s all that matters.
Tomorrow,
we have another relaxing sea day. A lady we met last year, Kris asked me what I
do on the ship. (as in all the activities) I had to say, nothing really. We
don’t run around and do all the fun stuff there is to do to keep people busy
like ring toss, cards, pickle ball, carpet bowling or whatever is on the
schedule. We enjoy just watching the ocean and catching a movie in the cabin. I
work on the blog and Greg birds from the ship and researches birds for our next
ports. We have seen a few new birds already. Just today there were 2 new
Albatross for our life list. We do the evening trivia or game shows for fun,
but otherwise we don’t participate in much. So, a cruise can be what you want
it to be; busy and can be or nothing at all and everything in between. I have
my iPad Kindle ap loaded with books and I read when I can or play games.
Tonight,
we gained another hour as we set the clocks back again. Whoo Hoo!
I agree with your response to that other passenger. Cruising is what you choose. You can be as busy as you want or not. There are options for everyone.
