Sea Day - January 6
It was a cloudy and rainy morning. We went to the World
Cruise gathering that Princess had to honor those of us doing the full world
cruise. They didn’t do that on either of our other ones that we remember. The
Captain and the officers were there to greet everyone and speak for a little bit.
From there we went to the Cruise Critic Meet & Greet that Tom &
Rosemary put together. The Captain and the officers also came for that. I think
they said there are only 128 full world cruisers on this segment as most will get
on in LA. It was good to see Bob & Phyllis and Tom & Cathy again. We
also got to meet a few people that signed up for our tours.
From there we went to the Casino Bar for a 1 game Bingo
called Nightro Bingo. They will have regular Bingo tomorrow, but only time for
1 quick game for $10 and the prize was $250.00 Holy crap, Greg won it!
Next we went for a late lunch and were seated with 2 people
and their friends from Canada. The first couple we saw on our 60 day South
America last year. We never were seated together, but we each remembered seeing
each other about the ship.
We went back to the cabin and I steamed a bunch of clothes
while Greg organized some things better. Then we relaxed until dinner. The rain
has stopped, but it’s still cloudy.
Tonight’s show was The Alley Cats billed as a music and
comedy show featuring the greatest hits of the 50’s and 60’s. (an Acapella –
Doo Wop Group) Other than the sound system which about blew everyone out of
their seats starting with the Cruise Director, they were a great fun act. They eventually got the sound lower, but it still was louder than most people wanted.
After the show we went to the Who Sang What 50’s & 60’s
trivia. We just play along, we don’t actually play for a prize. (a Princess
note pad in this case)
After that we went back to the cabin to relax until bedtime.
Tomorrow, we have one more sea day before Cartagena.
