Bona Dea Trails and Sanctuary - Russellville, Arkansas

September 10

Greg took the car in and they took off the bumper to check things out. La Mesa RV had done the install correctly on the tow set up, but it was the car that had a part behind it that was coming loose. (not unibody?) So, the same result or worse than if it had been a bad install due to no lock-tight, since that whole piece could have come off bringing the tow set up with it and the car would be loose behind us going in who knows what direction. It was a pretty easy fix for them and it is now towable. It also was very inexpensive (under $200) for 3 hours of work. Fingers crossed it does the trick. I'm relieved I don't have to drive the car through the next 7 moves. My neck needs time to heal.

We took the rest of the day off to run some errands and take a break. Tomorrow, we plan on hiking some trails.

Today we went to an urban park called the Bona Dea Trails and Sanctuary. These places sometimes can be good, but in general I'm not a fan of multi-use trails. Bicycles, runners, mothers with lots of kids screaming and dog walkers don't make for a great "communing with nature" experience. The paths were made of some "chip seal" that was really bumpy and uneven which was murder on my feet. Probably fine for people with normal feet, but all of my toes felt like they were broken walking on it. We saw a few birds, but not many.

the turtles were in this mess of trash - there was a sign saying it was people that leave the trash and begged for them to stop

We went to lunch and had pizza. Gotta have a pizza fix every now and then.

We took the afternoon off to take care of some things and get ready for the move tomorrow to West Memphis, Arkansas which is about 20 minutes from Memphis, Tennessee. We visited middle Tennessee on the way North and are hitting Memphis for Graceland and touring Memphis on our way back to Florida.
