We decided to try the other top rated BBQ place which is
Corky’s BBQ. Wow, much better. Greg had a brisket sandwich and I had the pulled
pork and both were very good. Good sauce as well. The sides were great, but the
banana pudding was much better at Central BBQ. I like the actual pudding part
and Corky’s was only a spoonful of pudding and the rest Nilla wafers.
The rest of the day we both got hair cuts and I also got
color.
September 18
We decided to have a laid back day since we leave the next
day and we had a few things to catch up on. We went to the Memphis Botanic
Garden. Perhaps at a different time of year it’s really pretty, but really
not much in bloom there. They were having an origami sculpture exhibit
throughout and that was nice. There also was a fun area called my backyard
garden and that was my favorite area.
We grabbed a salad at Panera and headed home to get some things
done.
Tomorrow, we leave for Brandon, Mississippi.
