Sea Day – February 6

In the early morning, we passed Beveridge reef where the depth of water rises from 5,000 to 0 meters.

It’s getting a little bit cooler as we head towards New Zealand. After breakfast, I walked the track for over an hour and there was a cool breeze when I first started. I warmed up after I got going, but it was cool and breezy for a while.
We skipped Bingo this morning. Lunch conversation was interesting again. We met 1 new couple and the rest were people we had met before. The dining room was pretty sparse since the Super Bowl had started. Yes, we watched on Monday which was your Sunday.
This evenings’ entertainment was an encore of the Buddy Holly tribute show, Buddy’s Back! He’s a fun entertainer.
The Game Show was Name That Tune: Rolling Stone Magazines top 500 songs of all time. We sort of played, Steve & Nancy played and we “helped” (or hindered as the case may be). Nope, didn’t win, but it was fun.
Stargazing tonight was rescheduled to tonight and the weather was clearer, but the moon was pretty bright so not optimal, but you could see the Southern Cross and the Milky Way.
Tomorrow we have an early start for our tour in Bay of Islands, New Zealand.
