Sea Day - February 9

Throughout the night we passed through the North Island’s archipelago with a Northwesterly course around North Island leaving Cape Maria Van Diemen on the port side and then we set a variety of Westerly courses leaving Three Kings Islands archipelago to starboard and continued Westbound through the Tasman Sea towards Sydney.

We woke to a pretty rainy morning. So, the track was wet and it was still raining, so after breakfast I walked the halls and stairs for 45 minutes before it was time for a shower and Bingo.

It was another good day for us at Bingo. I won the $50 game and Greg won the coverall for $60.00. Our collective total is now $480. Whoo Hoo! If we were keeping score (ha ha) Greg now has $140 and I have $540 (I recalculated and I was behind in my totals)

Today we had an afternoon show which was the guy we ate dinner with last night. Michael Young is an energetic Aussie that plays electric ukulele, electric mandola and a few interesting things like the tin whistle and something that looked like a bead necklace. Quite talented and just a fun show. Too bad he only has the one show.

We had a new couple join us temporarily at dinner tonight. Their usual table often has no one else show up and they wanted to sit with someone. Very interesting couple.

The main show tonight was Leo Ward a Master Magician and though his magic was fantastic his comedy was also hilarious. There is a gentleman named Leonard that we sit next to in Bingo that got called up on stage and it was pretty funny to see him with the magician that took his $20 bill and how he got it back. He got a bottle of champagne for being part of his trick.

Then, we went to a new version of the Liar’s Club which is always a laugh out loud kind of game.
2 more sea days until Sydney!
