Sea Day – February 24

Sea Day – February 24

Happy Anniversary Scott & Sonya!!!

There weren’t many of us walking the track this morning. I imagine the heat is getting to quite a few people. It was a beautiful calm day with islands all around which were pretty to look at as we walked.

Today they had another Sunday Brunch. The theme was an Australian Back to School feast. All the servers were dressed in school uniforms and the food included meat pies, barramundi, lamb and many Aussie side dishes. Lots of other choices as well. The desserts were pretty much the same as usual, but all good of course. They had strawberries to dip in the chocolate fountain which was a treat since there have next to no berries on this cruise. We ate early today since they moved Bingo back to 11:45 in the Casino Lounge.

We didn’t win at Bingo today. They seem to be having a lot of issues with the projectors and that took about 15 minutes to get straightened out. Then, on the last game Tobi hit the wrong key on the computer and it deleted the last game before it was over. So, they debated a long time about how to handle that. For those that didn’t want to stay they were refunded their money and for those that stayed we got new cards and just started a new game.

We were glad that we already had gone to the brunch or we would have missed it. We did go down and have a few more chocolate covered bananas & strawberries. They were out of berries, so we just had bananas.

We hung out at the pool for a while today. The weather is hot & steamy….just the way I like it!

There are now 6 of us at the dinner table now. They are a nice couple that has been on the whole cruise, but were at a terrible table at the back of the dining room that vibrated a lot. One by one everyone else had left the table and it left just the 2 of them, so they asked if they could move too. So, we now have a full table again.

The entertainment tonight was a base guitarist named Louie Shelton. He had performed with many singers/groups over the 60’s, 70’s & 80’s. He has been on many hit records with the Jackson 5, The Monkees, Boz Scaggs, Whitney Houston, Neil Diamond & more. Very good show tonight. I’d say overall so far, the entertainment has been very good.

We have 2 more sea days until Darwin.
